Very early on Friday morning, Detroit Tigers outfielder and slugger was arrested for instigating a brawl in a New York hotel. Young pushed a man over on to the ground while highly intoxicated, mildly injuring the victim with scratches on his arm.
Young was given time to sober up at a hospital before being taken to the Police, but according to WXYZ's Tom Leyden on twitter there have been no charges filed against the slugger yet. He also reports that any charges filed against Young would be misdemeanor charges, likely due to the fact that the victim in the scenario had no serious injuries.
The Tigers have not released a statement on the incident or any potential punishment for Young yet.
