Tigers Vs. Twins: Starting Lineup For Friday

On Friday night, the Detroit Tigers will open a three-game weekend set against the Minnesota Twins at Target Field. After dropping all three games of their last series to their Central Division rivals the Cleveland Indians, the Tigers will look to get on track against another division rival.

Over the course of their last three games, the Tigers have been held to under three runs in each game and have declined in their runs scored total in each of their last four games, being held to four, three, two and one run respectively in those performances. That will undoubtedly have to change if the team hopes to start making a dent on the wins column.

Here is the projected lineup that the team hopes will be able to do that:

1. Quintin Berry, Center Field

2. Andy Dirks, Left Field

3. Miguel Cabrera, Third Base

4. Prince Fielder, First Base

5. Delmon Young, Designated Hitter

6. Brennan Boesch, Right Field

7. Jhonny Peralta, Short Stop

8. Alex Avila, Catcher

9. Ryan Raburn, Second Base

Starting Pitcher: Drew Smyly; 1-1, 2.89 ERA
