Daniel Schlereth's Option To Toledo Voided

The Detroit Tigers announced Monday that left-handed pitcher Daniel Schlereth is currently on the big club's disabled list rather than Toledo's and he is eligible to be reinstated as soon as he's deemed healthy enough to return.

Schlereth was optioned to Toeldo on April 21 between games of a doubleheader against the Texas Rangers, but he never pitched for the Mud Hens because he finally admitted that his throwing shoulder was bothering him, requiring him to go on the disabled list. By rule, that placement can be retroactive to when he was still on the Tigers on April 21.

In seven innings this season, Schlereth gave up 14 hits and walked five in posting a 10.29 earned run average.
