Tigers Vs. Reds: Detroit Tries To Earn Interleague Series Win In Cincinnati

After splitting the first two games of their weekend interleague series, the Detroit Tigers and Cincinnati Reds will settle their series on Sunday night in front of a national television audience.

Prince Fielder came to the rescue for Detroit on Saturday, knocking in the game-winning run to even up the series. The Tigers will give the ball to left-hander Drew Smyly in an effort to win a second consecutive game for the first time in two weeks. Like the Tigers, Smyly has been up and down with a 2-2 record and 3.71 ERA.

Cincinnati will counter with right-hander Homer Bailey who enters the game with a 4-4 record and 4.39 ERA. Bailey had a personal three-game winning streak snapped in his last start, failing to get past the third inning while giving up six runs in a loss to the Pittsburgh Pirates.

The game is scheduled to start at 8:05 p.m. ET and will be televised on ESPN.
