Tigers Vs. Cubs Score Update: Detroit Scores 4 In 6th Inning

The Detroit Tigers lead the Chicago Cubs 6-4 in the seventh inning on Wednesday night, but things weren't going their way before the sixth.

After a 4-3 defeat in Tuesday's series opener, it looked like the Tigers were on their way to another L heading into the sixth inning down 4-1.

The Tigers scored four runs off a Deimon Young single, a Jhonny Peralta double and a Ramon Santiago ground-out in the sixth. They were helped by a Joe Mather fielding error.

Brennan Boesch added a solo home run in the seventh to extend Detroit's lead.

Rick Porcello pitched five innings for the Tigers and gave up nine hits and four runs. He struck out five. Brayan Villarreal is on the mound for Detroit in the seventh.
