MLB Trade Rumors: Tigers Interested In Carlos Quentin, According To Report

Reports are pretty flimsy at this point, but the Detroit Tigers are reportedly interested in San Diego Padres outfielder Carlos Quentin.

The Detroit Tigers "have interest" in San Diego Padres left fielder Carlos Quentin, according to Jon Morosi of FoxSports.com.

It's hard to tell just how legitimate this is. Regardless, Quentin would certainly be a welcome addition to the Tigers' offense.

Quentin, 29, missed the first 49 games of the season while recovering from knee surgery. He joined the Padres after a nine-game stint in the minors, and has been raking ever since. In 12 games he has a .421 batting average, a .542 on-base percentage and five home runs.
