The hits keep on coming for the Tigers, and I'm not talking about base hits that lead to runs and winning games; I'm talking about nagging injuries that are depleting the lineup and haunting Jim Leyland and the Tigers.
Just a few hours before the Tigers were set to take on the Yankees Saturday night, the team announced that Alex Avila is a late scratch with a tight right hamstring. Omir Santos will catch in his place.
This is an updated lineup for the game:
New #Tigers lineup: Berry CF, Worth 2b, Cabrera 3b, Fielder 1b, Young DH, Boesch RF, Peralta SS, Kelly LF, Santos C

The Tigers bench now consists of Ramon Santiago, and that's it. Andy Dirks will be unavailable with a sore achilles and Gerald Laird is also out with a tight right hammy, which he injured during Friday night's game. Don Kelly, Saturday night's starting left fielder, is the team's emergency catcher.
