The 2012 MLB Futures Game will be on Sunday, July 8 and there's a great list of players representing this year. The 25-man rosters for the game were selected by the Major League Baseball Scouting Bureau, MLB.com, Baseball America and all 30 of the MLB clubs. It will be between the U.S. Team and the World Team dugouts, coached by George Brett and Bernie Williams, respectively.

According to the official website, 31 players on MLB.com's Top 100 Prospects list will be in the game, including almost half of the top fifty. There's players like Dylan Bundy, Gerrit Cole and Trevor Bauer on the list - all of them top ten prospects. Last year, things were explosive with Bryce Harper and Mike Trout in the game, and both of them could end up in the All-Star Game just a year later.

For Detroit, they've got two players representing them. Nick Castellanos and Bruce Rondon will be representing for the Tigers. Castellanos is the team's top position prospect and he cruised through Single-A with a .405 batting average and 32 RBIs. Rondon will be on the World Team opposite Castellanos and he's got a lot of potential as a reliever for Detroit. He recently pitched a 1-2-3 ninth inning to get the save on Wednesday in his debut for the SeaWolves.
