Tigers Vs. Rays: Justin Verlander, David Price Set Stage For Game 2

In the second game of a four-game set between the Detroit Tigers and Tampa Bay Rays on Friday night, it's not a stretch to imagine that the batters in this game are going to be frustrated for a good portion of the night, if not all of it. The reason for that is that Justin Verlander and David Price are the projected starters for the game.

Verlander is 8-4 with a 2.52 ERA over 117.2 innings pitched in 16 starts this season, with a strikeout-to-walk ratio of 113-28. He has registered a win in each of his last three appearances and has held opponents to two earned runs or less in seven of his last 10 starts.

Price is 10-4 with a 2.95 ERA over 97.2 innings pitched in 15 starts this season. He has held opponents to one earned run or less in six of his last 10 starts.
