Tigers Vs. Yankees: Starting Lineups For Sunday's Series Finale

With a chance to take down the Bronx Bombers in their three-game series at Comerica Park, the Detroit Tigers will send MVP winner Justin Verlander to the mound in the series' pivotal game on Sunday afternoon.

Opposing Verlander for the Yankees will be young righthander Phil Hughes, who has struggled to a 5.64 ERA over 10 starts this season for New York. Hughes will face a Detroit lineup that features the unusual 1-2 punch of Quintin Berry and Danny Worth atop the order, protected by the ever-dangerous 3-4 combo of power sluggers Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder. Utility man Don Kelly will assume left field and bat eighth, while Saturday's hero, backup catcher Omir Santos, will once again get the start with both Gerald Laird and Alex Avila ailing.
