Tigers Sign Hudson Randall, Hunter Scantling From 2012 Draft Class

The Detroit Tigers are just about through with their signings when it comes to the 2012 MLB Draft. Some teams will continue to plug on with the signings over the coming months, but the Tigers have kept up a steady stream of signings. Most recently, they inked ninth-round selection, outfielder Jake Stewart and 16th-round selection, left-handed pitcher Josh Turley to deals on June 27.

Now, they've added another signing from the top ten rounds of the draft, as Brian Britten announced via Twitter that right-handed pitcher Hudson Randall has signed with the team:

As noted, Scantling was also signed on Saturday. Randall was reportedly signed on Thursday, but the story was pulled by the Gators' website, so it was a bit premature. Still, there wasn't much doubt that something would get done sooner rather than later. The Tigers still have some draft picks out there, but not many. Smart money is on the Tigers being pretty happy with the guys they've signed thus far, though.
