Tigers OF Austin Jackson To Begin Rehab Assignment With Toledo

According to the Detroit Tigers Director of Media Relations, Brian Britten, injured outfielder Austin Jackson will begin a rehab assignment with the Tigers' Triple-A affiliate, the Toledo Mud Huns on Thursday. Jackson injured his abdomen in a game against the Minnesota Twins on May 16 when he flied out to right field in the bottom of the fourth inning. Following the out he was seen talking to the Tigers' trainer and left the game.

After a few false starts in a desire to return, Jackson was placed on the 15-day disabled list and is now working his way back into the lineup. At the time of this writing, there is no time table for a return but one has to imagine that it will come sooner rather than later unless there is another setback.
