Santos joined the Tigers on May 30, when the club purchased his contract from Toledo after sending Ryan Raburn down to Triple-A because of his struggles at the plate. Santos' most notable moment in Detroit was when he hit a walk-off sacrifice fly on Saturday night against the New York Yankees. He went one-for-eight (.125) at the plate in three games registering one RBI while with the Tigers.
