Ehlers was originally taken in the eighth round of the 2010 Draft by the Toronto Blue Jays but opted to attend the University of Nebraska, where he went to further develop his skills prior to being drafted by the Tigers in this past year's draft. He stands at six-feet-two and weighs close to 220 pounds.
