The rubber game might have to wait a little longer between the Detroit Tigers and Cleveland Indians. Thursday's finale is being delayed due to rain.
WEATHER UPDATE:The start of tonight's game is on hold, but we're optimistic to play. No specific start time has been announced Stay Tuned— Cleveland Indians (@Indians) July 26, 2012
The forecast calls for possible showers the rest of the night, so it is unclear when or if the game is resumed.
A postponement would mean that the three-game series between the Indians and Tigers from Sept. 14-16 would likely become a four-game series. It is the Tigers only other trip to Cleveland.
Instead of a doubleheader, the two teams could play on Monday the 17th, but it would mean the Tigers would not have an off day from Sept. 7 through the end of the season.
