On Thursday afternoon, the Detroit Tigers managed to steal a win away from the division rival Minnesota Twins by scoring seven unanswered runs on the way to a 7-3 victory at Comerica Park.
Minnesota scored three runs entering the fourth inning prior to the Tigers pulling back into the game by scoring two runs over the course of the fourth and fifth inning.
Once the Tigers put up five runs in the bottom of the eighth, the game was all but over.
Prince Fielder and Miguel Cabrera acted as Twin killers, combining for five of the Tigers' seven runs. Fielder and Delmon Young hit back-to-back home runs in the eighth, with Fielder's three-run home run acting as the game-winning hit.
Twins relief pitcher Alex Burnett was pegged with the loss, while Octavio Dotel earned the win.
