Schedule makers certainly know a can't-miss match up when they see one, and the annual rivalry between the Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox usually ranks fairly high on the list of head-to-head MLB games brimming with the most intrigue. So it's only natural then that the two teams will be featured on national TV for FOX's Saturday Baseball Game of the Week later this month, exactly 10 days before the trade deadline.

At 45-37 overall, the White Sox currently own a two-game lead on the Indians and a four-game lead on Jim Leyland's Tigers in the Central. With the division clearly wide open for the taking, the Tigers remain in an interesting position, and these vital games against the White Sox look like the biggest on the schedule.
