Tigers Vs. Twins: Anibal Sanchez Roughed Up In 9-3 Loss

Anibal Sanchez allowed five earned runs on 12 hits over 5 1/3 innings as the Tigers fell to the Twins 9-3 Monday night in Minnesota.

The Twins opened the scoring in the third inning on an RBI single from Justin Morneau. Jhonny Peralta tied the game for the Tigers with an RBI double in the top of the fifth, but Minnesota re-took the lead on a solo home run from Darin Mastroianni in the bottom frame.

A three-run sixth helped the Twins break the game open, and a three-run homer from Ryan Doumit off Duane Below in the seventh put things out of reach.

No Tiger had multiple hits, as Austin Jackson went 1-for-4 with a walk and a run scored and Miguel Cabrera went 1-for-4 with an RBI.
