Tigers Vs. Orioles Score Update: Detroit Trails 7-5 After Six

The Detroit Tigers trail the Baltimore Orioles 7-5 heading into the seventh inning despite a hot start on Sunday. Omar Infante started the scoring with a solo home run in the first inning, and Jhonny Peralta soon followed it up with a three-run shot.

Before the first was over, the Tigers added a fifth run thanks to a Jeff Baker RBI double to score Delmon Young.

The lead wouldn't last. Starting pitcher Doug Fister lasted just 3.2 innings after giving up eight hits and seven runs. The Orioles jumped on the right-hander in the second, scoring four runs in that inning and then pushing another three across the plate in the fourth inning.

Luke Putkonen replaced Fister on the mound and in 2.1 innings has given up just one hit and two walks.

The Tigers have put up eight hits thus far and scored all five runs off of Wei-Yin Chen, who was chased after five innings.
