The Detroit Tigers currently trail the Chicago White Sox by two games in the AL Central pennant race, but that could all change this week as the two teams begin a four-game set in Chicago at U.S. Cellular Field.
The Tigers can't afford to get swept as a six-game deficit would all but put them out of contention for the division, but a sweep in their favor would erase the White Sox current lead and put them in great position heading into the final weeks of the regular season.
Rick Porcello will take the mound for the Tigers as he hopes to stay undefeated on Chicago's turf this season whereas Jose Quintana will get the starting nod for the White Sox. Quintana's struggled mightily as of late, giving up 12 runs over the past five innings he's pitched.
