Tigers Vs. White Sox Score Update: Detroit Trails 4-1 Through 6 Innings

Through six innings in Chicago, the Tigers trail the White Sox 4-1 in a vital series opener.

A Jhonny Peralta single to left field scored Delmon Young to open the scoring in the second inning, but Alex Rios hit a three-run homer in the sixth inning, and A.J. Pierzynski followed with a solo home run.

Starter Rick Porcello had allowed two hits entering the sixth, but things unraveled, and he was pulled after the second home run. The Tigers committed two errors in the inning and have three in the game. White Sox starter Jose Quintana has allowed seven hits and one walk while striking out six.

Austin Jackson is 1-for-2 with a walk. Seven of the Tigers' starting nine have one hit. Sluggers Miguel Cabrera and Prince Fielder are the two Detroit hitters who are hitless.
