Tigers Vs. White Sox Lineups: Max Scherzer Looking For Career-High 16th Victory

Separated by a mere two games in the standings, the Detroit Tigers and Chicago White Sox will once again square off at U.S. Cellular Field on Wednesday night in Game 3 of their pivotal series.

Detroit right-hander Max Scherzer is expected to get the ball for Jim Leyland's team, and enters as one of the hottest pitchers in baseball with a 2.70 post-All-Star break earned-run average. Along with being able to set a new career-high with 16 wins if he can walk away with a victory, Scherzer should also enter his start with plenty of confidence after already racking up 32 strikeouts over 25 innings against the White Sox this season.
