The Detroit Tigers trail the Chicago White Sox by two games in the AL Central division race entering Friday night, and while the Sox head out west to take on the Angels, the Tigers (79-70) host the Minnesota Twins (62-88).

The Tigers have seven home games left on their schedule -- three against the Twins followed by four against the Royals -- followed by six consecutive road games to close out the regular season, so this is a great opportunity to gain some ground in their pursuit of the AL Central crown.

On Friday night, Rick Porcello (9-12, 4.57 ERA) takes the mound for Detroit, while the Twins turn to Samuel Deduno (6-4, 3.84 ERA). Here is a look at the game time and TV schedule for the series opener:

Game Date & Time: Friday, Sept. 21, 6:05 p.m. CT
