Rain has caused Friday's series opener between the Detroit Tigers and Minnesota Twins to be postponed until Sunday. The teams will play a day/night double-header at 1:05 p.m. and 7:05 p.m.
The teams are schedule to play at 4:05 p.m. Saturday, although rain is also in the forecast then. Doug Fister (9-9, 3.65 ERA) is scheduled to face Scott Diamond (11-8, 3.69 ERA).
Fister is 1-2 with a 4.50 ERA in three starts against the Twins this season. Diamond has faced the Tigers once, earning a no-decision after giving up two runs in seven innings in a 7-3 Twins loss on July 5.
The Tigers have seven games left in the season, three against the Twins and four games against the Kansas City Royals to close the season.
