Tigers Vs. Twins Preview: Doug Fister Hopes To Bounce Back

After lasting just four innings in his last start, a loss to the Chicago White Sox on Sept. 17, Detroit Tigers pitcher Doug Fister (9-9, 3.65 ERA) looks to get back on track against the Minnesota Twins at 4:05 p.m. Saturday.

Fister hasn't had great success against the Twins this season. He's just 1-2 against them with a 4.50 ERA in three starts.

He faces Samuel Deduno (6-4, 3.84 ERA). Deduno has pitched against the Tigers once this season, getting a win after allowing three runs in seven innings on Aug. 13.

The Tigers are still trailing the Chicago White Sox for first place in the AL Central. The Twins recently moved ahead of the Cleveland Indians, into second-to-last place in the division.
