Detroit Lions safety Louis Delmas has yet to play in a game for the team in 2012, and he managed to create some confusion about his Week 6 status by sitting out practice on Friday. Lions head coach Jim Schwartz told reporters on Thursday that he expects Delmas to play against the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday, but then the free safety jogged around on the sidelines and didn't engage in team practice during the 30-minute window where media members are allowed to watch, according to Anwar Richardson of MLive.com.
Most media outlets still expect Delmas to play because he didn't show any lingering signs of injury, though he is on the mend from offseason knee surgery and there are at least a few questions about whether he is on track to play. The team injury report is due out by 4 p.m. ET, so hopefully some clarification will be presented as to why Delmas didn't practice with the team on Friday.
