The Detroit Lions trail the Philadelphia Eagles 13-6 heading into the fourth quarter of Sunday's game.
Detroit's offense continues to struggle and gained just 12 yards in the third quarter. Matthew Stafford has completed 7-of-21 pass attempts for 91 yards. He's thrown one interception and has been unable to connect with Calvin Johnson who has just one catch for 28 yards. Johnson has been targeted six times but has not caught a pass since the first quarter.
After leading the game and statistical categories early in the game, Philadelphia has taken control. The Eagles have outgained the Lions 282-163. The Eagles also have 22 first downs through three quarters, compared with just nine for the Lions.
Despite struggling offensively, the Lions' defense has been able to keep Detroit in the game by limiting the Eagles to field goals. Philadelphia added two field goals in the third quarter but was unable to finish long drives with touchdowns.
