Lions will sell standing room only tickets for game against Packers

The Lions have released an additional 1,500 standing room only tickets for their Nov. 18th game against the Green Bay Packers.

The Detroit Lions have made available an additional 1,500 standing room only tickets for their Nov. 18th game against the Green Bay Packers, according to a tweet from detroitlions.com's Tim Twentyman. The tickets are available only at the Ford Field box office, presumably to prevent Packers fans from buying them. They go on sale on Monday, Oct. 22nd at noon.

The Lions made standing room only tickets available twice last year, against the Bears and Packers, and do so to help build a raucous home field advantage for big games. The Lions will need to win that game against the Packers, as they've already dug themselves a hole in the NFC North. The team sits at 2-3 and in last place in the division. They go on the road to face the Chicago Bears on Monday night, and will need to win that game to avoid going to 0-2 in the division.
