Despite not receiving a penalty on the play, Lions defensive end Lawrence Jackson received a $15,750 fine from the NFL for a hit on Eagles quarterback Michael Vick in a Week 6 game, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

The hit in question was deemed below the knees of Vick, although Jackson seemingly disagrees as he went to Twitter to let the world know that he plans to appeal the fine.

A first round pick in the 2008 NFL Draft by the Seahawks, Jackson has spent each of the last three seasons as a rotational member of the Lions defensive line. Active for four games so far in 2012, Jackson has tallied just one tackle and no sacks. He has a total of 87 tackles and 17 sacks in his career.
