As the NFL enters its seventh week of the 2012 season, there have been plenty of players featured in commercials, but perhaps none more prominently than Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers.

The trend of nationally popular NFC North quarterbacks could be changing very soon.

Lions QB Matthew Stafford is set to star in two new ESPN commercials promoting its popular highlights show SportsCenter. Both will debut Oct. 22, as the Lions take on the Bears on Monday Night Football.

Pride of Lions highlighted Stafford's first ESPN commercial, a spot promoting Monday Night Football that ran earlier in the year.

Both cast Stafford in a humorous light, with the two new commercials featuring him with University of Georgia mascot Dirty Dawg in the popular motif of athletes milling around ESPN's headquarters in Bristol, Conn.

The Lions are six-point home underdogs to the NFC North-leading Bears. Detroit had an impressive come-from-behind victory over Philadelphia in Week 6 and face perhaps their toughest opponent so far this season in Chicago.
