Lions vs. Seahawks score: Detroit trails at half in battle of quarterbacks

Outside of a long touchdown burst by Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch that has helped Seattle to a 17-14 halftime lead, the battle between the Seahawks and the Detroit Lions has been one of two young quarterbacks.

Detroit's Matthew Stafford has completed 17-of-24 passes for 197 yards and two touchdowns, while rookie Russell Wilson has hit 14-of-18 passes for 106 yards through the first half.

Trailing 7-3 after the first quarter, Seattle tacked on a touchdown five seconds into the second quarter to regain the lead on a 77-yard touchdown run by Lynch, who had taken his first four totes for only 2 total yards.

Detroit went 3-and-out, and Seattle used a deep pass attempt from Wilson to Golden Tate to draw a pass interference penalty on Detroit's Jonte Green to advance the ball to the Lions' 15. Wilson found Sidney Rice for a 9-yard touchdown with 11:43 to play in the half to give the Seahawks a 17-7 advantage.

Stafford responded with a drive where he completed 3-of-4 passes for 78 yards, the final pass turning into a 46-yard touchdown to Titus Young that brought the Lions within 3 points nine minutes before halftime.

Detroit ran the ball 10 times for 40 yards. Mikel Leshoure has nine carries for 39 of those yards.
