The Detroit Lions are looking to patch up their secondary, and on Wednesday, the Lions worked out a handful of defensive backs.

Detroit lost safety Louis Delmas to a knee injury, but were fortunate to learn that an MRI revealed no major damage to Delmas' knee. Delmas already missed the first five games of the season because of a knee injury, and his status for Week 9 is in question.

Even though Delmas avoided a major injury, the Lions decided to work out six defensive backs on Wednesday. Chris Hawkins, Chris Johnson, Justin King, Roy Lewis, Lance Slaugher and Frank Walker all worked out for Detroit.

Detroit's pass defense has allowed just 214.1 yards per game through Detroit's first seven games, good for 9th in the NFL.

Cornerback Jacob Lacey is set to resume practicing this week, after missing Weeks 7 and 8 with a concussion. Safety Amari Spievy missed Detroit's Week 8 contest against Seattle with a concussion as well.
