Barry Sanders concluded filming of his NFL Network documentary on Wednesday, according to his official Twitter account.

"A Football Life" with Barry Sanders will air on Dec. 5th at 8 p.m. on the NFL Network.

The documentary series has profiled Tim Tebow, Ray Lewis, Tom Coughlin and Steve McNair, along with many others so far this season. The series started in 2011 with profiles of Bill Belichick, Kurt Warner and Walter Payton, along with six others.

Sanders played 10 seasons with the Detroit Lions from 1989 to 1998, totaling 15,269 yards rushing and 99 touchdowns. Sanders had an additional 2,921 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns through the air. Sanders is ranked third all-time in rushing yards, behind Emmitt Smith and Walter Payton.

Sanders retired when he was just 31 years old and in the middle of his prime. At that time, he stated that his desire to exit the game was greater than his desire to remain it.
