Detroit Lions' wide receiver Calvin Johnson had 207 yards off of 12 receptions on Sunday, and he added a touchdown to that stat line as well. His average yardage per reception was 17.2, which is stellar by anyone's standards. Still, Johnson's day, coupled with another two touchdowns from quarterback Matthew Stafford, wasn't enough to lift the Lions past the Minnesota Vikings, who walked away with a 34-24 win in Week 10.
At the very least, there were some nice stats to work with following the game. As noted by Randall Liu on Twitter, Sunday was Johnson's third career game with 200 receiving yards or more, which is tied for fifth most in NFL history.
The Lions followed that up with a Tweet of their own, noting that Johnson's three games of 200 yards or more is an all-time franchise record for the Lions. The record for most 200-yard games for the entire NFL is held by Lance Alworth, with five games. He played for the San Diego Chargers and Dallas Cowboys during the 1960s and '70s.
