Injured during Sunday's loss to Minnesota, Detroit Lions starting cornerback Chris Houston was one of four players in the secondary to completely sit out Wednesday's practice.
The 28-year-old Houston had his ankle landed on by a Vikings player on Sunday, and went out of his way to blame the unnamed player for deliberately trying to injure him following the game. Houston was one of 10 Detroit names listed on the team's official injury report to kick off the week, although the veteran corner still does not believe his ankle issue will limit him in Week 11.
Also unable to suit up on Wednesday were safeties Erik Coleman, Louis Delmas and Amari Spievey. Spievey was cleared to return to practice after suffering a concussion on Oct. 22, while Delmas continues to slowly recover from his latest knee injury after already missing six games this season. Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson was also absent once again on Wednesday, while fellow receiver Titus Young took part on a limited basis due to a knee injury.
