The Detroit Lions have activated defensive back Drayton Florence for this week's game versus the Green Bay Packers and placed Amari Spievey (concussion) on injured reserve, according to Tim Twentyman.

Florence has five tackles in two games against the St. Louis Rams and San Francisco 49ers this season. Florence will play this Sunday for the first time since Sept. 16.

Spievey has 21 tackles for the Lions this season but hasn't played in the last three weeks as he recovers from a concussion. Spievey has four concussions in his career and two since January, according to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

The Lions are giving up 213.4 yards per game through the air, which ranks seventh in the league. The Packers are averaging 249.3 yards per game, which ranks 12th in the NFL. Green Bay quarterback Aaron Rodgers leads the league, along with Drew Brees, with 25 touchdowns this season.

At 4-5 on the year, the Lions are two games behind the Green Bay Packers in the NFC North.
