NFL odds and lines Week 12: Texans vs. Lions

The Lions will enter Thursday's Week 12 game with the Houston Texans as a three-point home underdog.

In search of their first win on Thanksgiving Day since 2003, the Detroit Lions will welcome the Houston Texans to Ford Field on Thursday afternoon for a pivotal Week 12 matchup.

The Lions have not only fallen short in each of their last eight Thanksgiving games on the scoreboard, but have also been topped each time against the spread. The Texans will also enter with a strong 7-3 mark against the spread over the course of the season, and are also 8-2 over their last 10 road games against the spread.

While both previous meetings between the two franchises have outscored the over/under prediction, the under mark is a stellar 6-3 over Detroit's last nine Thanksgiving games. The Lions may hold a 4-2 record over their last six games at Ford Field, but will certainly have their hands full trying to slow down the NFL's top-ranked rushing attack on the road this season (166.0 yards/game). With injuries once again expected to slow down the Lions' secondary, the Texans appear to have a number of positives working on their side heading into Thursday's showdown:

Spread: Detroit plus-3

Moneyline: Detroit plus-150

Over/under: 49
