While his public image continues to tank this week, Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh hasn't seen his supreme confidence be shaken just yet.
"I do see multiple Super Bowl rings in my future, especially with the team we have now," Suh told ESPN The Magazine's David Fleming in a recent interview. "We're a team where if we don't make mistakes, we are insanely dangerous."
Unfortunately, this Lions team is often defined as much by its mistakes as the impressive collection of talent that it boasts. Despite having star players like Suh, quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Calvin Johnson, the Lions are just 4-7 this season following their latest mistake-driven defeat, a 34-31 Thanksgiving Day loss to the Houston Texans.
While Suh certainly isn't wrong is praising the talent of his teammates, he's equally as correct in noting that his team struggles when making mistakes. And yet, the goal of eliminating those often careless mistakes is still very much a work-in-progress for Jim Schwartz's team with five games left in the season.
