Titus Young, Jeff Backus to be game-time decisions for Lions

Backus missed Wednesday's practice and is listed as questionable with a hamstring injury.

Howard Smith-US PRESSWIRE

Lions head coach Jim Schwartz spoke to WXYZ's Brad Galli on Friday and told the reporter that two players will be game-time decisions for Sunday, although only one is listed on Friday's injury report.

Schwartz said he will decide on Sunday whether or not wide receiver Titus Young will be allowed to dress for the game after he was sent home for disciplinary reasons. On Friday, the receiver was unapologetic in a short media address that was eventually stopped by the Lions public relations department.

Also a possibility to miss Sunday's game against the Colts is offensive tackle Jeff Backus, due to a hamstring injury. After missing practice on Wednesday, Backus returned to practice on both Thursday and Friday on a limited basis before being listed as questionable on the injury report.

In the event that Backus is unable to make the start, Schwartz said that it would be rookie Riley Reiff making the start on the left side of the offensive line.
