Detroit Lions defensive tackle Nick Fairley will be due in a Mobile (Ala.) County circuit court on Feb. 7, when a hearing regarding his DUI charge from May will take place, according to a report by Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press on Friday.
This follows Fairley waiving an appearance in Mobile's circuit court on Thursday, as the two-year pro out of Auburn entered a not guilty plea.
The plea comes from May 27, when Fairley was arrested for what was the second time in the same number of months after a state trooper in Alabama said Fairley drove by his patrol vehicle going at a speed of 100 mph.
If a plea can't be reached at the time of the Feb. 7 court date, a trial would be set for Feb. 26. Additionally, according to the article, Fairley has another hearing scheduled for Nov. 27 regarding a misdemeanor marijuana possession charge following an arrest in April.
