Two notably absent players on Wednesday due to injuries, starting defensive backs Louis Delmas and Chris Houston were each back on the practice field in a limited capacity on Thursday.
Both Delmas and Houston were in action for their team's Week 14 loss to Green Bay, but have each been limited recently by nagging injuries. Delmas, who has only played in five games this season due to a persistent knee issue following offseason surgery, has been monitored closely by trainers after being unable to finish out Detroit's Thanksgiving Day game with the Texans.
A starter in 11 games this year, the 28-year-old Houston joined Delmas on the practice field on Thursday despite a hamstring injury. Houston was slowed earlier in the season by an ankle injury, but is a safe bet to be in action to face Arizona in Week 15.
Once again unable to make a contribution on the practice field was the duo of Nick Fairley and Brandon Pettigrew, two key cogs who continue to nurse shoulder and ankle injuries respectively. While Fairley is currently the only defensive tackle on Detroit's injury report, the Lions would figure to be extremely thin at the position if the second-year lineman is unable to play this Sunday.
Here is Detroit's official Week 15 injury report after Thursday:
