Lions vs. Cardinals 2012: Game preview, kickoff time, TV schedule and more

The Detroit Lions will try to avoid their sixth consecutive loss on Sunday afternoon against the Arizona Cardinals.

USA TODAY Sports

In a meeting between two teams currently sporting the NFC's longest losing streaks, the Detroit Lions and Arizona Cardinals will hit the field this Sunday for a game that may very well have a significant impact on the NFL Draft order.

The Lions have dropped five straight games and look to be in disarray both on and off the field at the moment, but still feature one of the league's most explosive passing duos with quarterback Matthew Stafford and receiver Calvin Johnson. Despite showing signs of brilliance in each of their previous five defeats, the Lions have managed to give away victories in the fourth quarter at an alarming rate in recent weeks.

After starting the year out 4-0, the Cardinals have somehow lost nine consecutive games to harshly fall from a playoff contender to a candidate for the No. 1 overall pick. A 58-point loss to Seattle in Week 14 may have signaled a new low for the organization, and the team continues to struggle to find ways to move the ball offensively both through the air and on the ground. With the Cardinals currently serving up 26.3 points per game to opponents this season, the Lions may be given every opportunity for a bounce-back game in Week 15.
