Detroit Lions defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh may have his pending traffic citation resolved before the scheduled formal hearing next month, Carlos Monarrez of the Detroit Free Press reports. Suh was cited for driving without due care or caution on Nov. 15, but he's decided to go forward with a formal hearing rather than simply pay the fine.
At the moment, Suh's hearing is still scheduled for 1 p.m. ET on Jan. 11 in Southfield, Mich., but Lathrup Village City Attorney Phil Seymour is skeptical that it will actually occur. "I suspect this matter will be resolved without a formal hearing," he said of the situation.
Suh was given a $130 traffic citation after being pulled over as he was driving northbound on Southfield Road in his black Land Rover. By having the hearing, Suh can defend himself with an attorney present while the ticketing police officer will be represented by Seymour.
