Michigan didn't get off to an especially quick start on Monday, but the Wolverines rode a dominant second half to a 91-54 win against IUPUI.
Michigan led 31-27 with just over 5:30 to play in the first half, but it closed the half on a 14-4 run to take a 45-31 halftime lead. The Wolverines opened the second half with a 7-0 run and never looked back en route to the 37-point victory. Sophomore point guard Trey Burke led the way for Michigan, scoring 22 points to go along with nine assists. Freshman Glenn Robinson III was 8-of-9 shooting, finishing with 21 points and six rebounds.
The Wolverines shot the ball extremely well on Monday, making 60.0 percent of their field goal attempts. They also made 13 of 21 three-point attempts. Five different Wolverines finished with at least five rebounds as Michigan outrebounded IUPUI 38 to 21.
John Hart was the only IUPUI player to finish in double figures. He scored 15 points on 6-of-16 shooting.
