The Michigan Wolverines will host the N.C. State Wolfpack on Tuesday night, as part of the Big Ten/ACC Challenge. No. 3 Michigan will try to start its season with a sixth straight win.
The Wolverines are coming off big wins against Pittsburgh and Kansas State, but No. 18 NC State is their first ranked opponent this season. The two teams have not met since 2006, when the Wolf Pack ended the Wolverines' similarly hot start to that season.
Michigan has relied on Tim Hardaway Jr. all season. The junior guard leads the team in scoring, averaging 18.3 points per game. Hardaway has also helped by grabbing 6.8 rebounds per game.
Even at 4-1, NC State has been somewhat underwhelming this season. Its wins have come against Miami (OH), Penn St., UMass, and UNC Asheville. Their most recent victory, against UNC-A, was decided by just two points, 82-80.
Tip-off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. ET, and the game will air on ESPN.
