Michigan Wolverines quarterback Denard Robinson is 222 yards away from becoming just the eighth player in Big Ten history to reach the 10,000-yard mark in his career.
Robinson has accumulated 5,873 yards passing and 3,905 yards rushing during his time at Michigan. This season Robinson has 942 yards passing and 676 yards on the ground for the 3-2 Wolverines; he leads the team in both categories. Last week, Robinson threw for 105 and rushed for 235 yards against Purdue in a 44-13 Michigan win. That performance made him the all-time leading rushing quarterback in Big Ten history.
Robinson hopes to reach the 10,000-yard milestone when Michigan takes on Illinois on Saturday. Last season, Robinson was knocked out in the third quarter of the game against the Illini and was limited to just 92 yards passing and 30 yards rushing, which were both season lows for him. No. 25 Michigan hosts Illinois at 3:30 p.m. ET.
