The Michigan Wolverines returned to the SB Nation BlogPoll this week, coming in at No. 25 in the rankings after their 45-0 throttling of Illinois on Saturday improved their overall record to 4-2. Michigan moved up four spots from last week and are back in the top 25 for the first time since losing to Notre Dame on Sep. 22. The Wolverines' only losses so far this season are to top-ranked Alabama and No. 5 Notre Dame.
The ballot breakdown shows that Michigan received a vote as high as No. 15 from one voter, but most bloggers ranked them closer to their ranking of 25th. Michigan is now the second-highest ranked team in the Big Ten, behind only Ohio State, who came in at 10th in this week's BlogPoll.
Michigan takes on in-state rivals Michigan State on Oct. 20. The Spartans are 4-3 after losing to Iowa on Saturday, but have won the last four meetings between the two Michigan schools.
