The Michigan Wolverines haven't been able to beat their rivals from East Lansing since 2007, but Brady Hoke's high-powered squad will enter Saturday's showdown as clear favorites over the visiting Spartans.
Michigan is one of only two undefeated Big Ten schools remaining in the Legends Division along with Iowa, and will try to halt a four-game skid against Mark Dantonio's Spartans this weekend. Michigan State coordinator Pat Narduzzi's defense forced three Denard Robinson interceptions the last time the teams met at The Big House in 2010, and they are hoping that he can continue the two-year trend against the talented dual-threat option.
Listed as 10.5-point underdogs, the Spartans will be forced to rely on the inconsistent arm of junior quarterback Andrew Maxwell in order to keep their winning streak intact. Maxwell completed just 12 of his 31 passes during a frustrating double-overtime loss to Iowa last weekend, and could struggle to adjust against Michigan defensive coordinator Greg Mattison's aggressive playcalling and disguised blitzes.
