The Michigan Wolverines are well on their way to their third win of the season and their first road win, as they hold a 28-10 lead at the half.
Fitzgerald Toussaint has found the end zone twice, both coming on 1-yard rushes, but he's struggling to get anything done in the open field, with just a 1.6 yards per carry average. He's carried the ball nine times for just 14 yards through two quarters.
Denard Robinson is picking up the rushing slack though, as he's racked up 84 yards off of 14 carries, good for a 6.0 per carry average. He's also managed 86 yards through the air, with a 23-yard touchdown pass to Devin Gardner late in the second half.
Michigan took the 7-0 lead and quickly turned it into 21-0 early in the second when Caleb TerBush intercepted Raymon Taylor and took the ball 63 yards for a pick six immediately following Toussaint's second touchdown run.
Purdue got on the board late in the second quarter with a field goal from Paul Griggs from 40 yards out, and took advantage of a Robinson fumble late in the half (a point in which they could have been trying to kill the clock). TerBush turned the possession into a 4-yard touchdown pass to O.J. Ross.
