Big Ten football standings 2012: Michigan still has shot at conference title

The Wolverines have just one conference loss, and they still have a chance at the Rose Bowl.

Half of the Big Ten championship game is now set, with Wisconsin clinching the spot from the Leaders Division. Michigan still has a chance at the Legends title, but will need to win out and hope Nebraska loses a game.

The Wolverines have Iowa and Ohio State left on the schedule. Nebraska has a much easier route, as they finish with Minnesota and Iowa.

Northwestern is behind Michigan in the Legends at 3-3. Iowa, Minnesota and Michigan State are all 2-4.

Ohio State remains the only undefeated team in the Big Ten and are leading the Leaders Division. The Buckeyes are ineligible for postseason play, as are the Penn State Nittany Lions. PSU is tied with Wisconsin for second place.

Indiana still had a shot to claim a spot in conference title game before this, but the Badgers ended those hopes. Purdue and Indiana round out the division.

Five teams (not counting Ohio State and Penn State) are bowl eligible. Michigan State needs to win one of its last two games to get to six wins. Indiana, Iowa and Purdue have to win out to get to a bowl.
